Most of my hiking has been done in the Sierras. Inspiration has come from a number of web pages. Most important to my hiking have been hiking reports by Bill Finch and Charles Hayden

When I first started hiking, I did not know which backcountry routes were possible. Even knowing a route was possible did not mean that I could find the safest route. To help you, I have collected some backcountry routes I have taken for display on a map below. The associated trip reports may help you when planning your own adventures.
